World Delivery Day 2025 will be celebrated on Monday 5th May. Like other parts of the world, Bangladesh is celebrated every year today. The day is celebrated to recognize the contribution of the midwives or midwives who have been serving at home for ages. The movement started internationally from the sixties to give the dignity of the midwives. In view of this, the date of May 5 was recognized as International Desh Day. Every year, the importance of making trained and skilled midwives is emphasized on the eve of this day. The intellectual palace points out that skilled midwife needs to be developed to greatly reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. Considering this importance, midwife education is being institutionalized in the government institutions as well as the post of midwife. Midwife is being appointed at Upazila and Union Health Centers. About 2,557 midwives are working in the Upazila Health Complex and Union Sub Center. However, the number of midwives is inadequate compared to the servicemen, and continuous service is being disrupted. In order to achieve sustainable goals, it is important to appoint quick midwife. Last year, the midwives got the opportunity to Midwife BSc-in-Medwifter in only 80 seats in four colleges. This number has to be increased further.

 

Midwife or midwife profession in the rural village of Bengal is very ancient. In the past, when the medical system has not improved so much, the child of any maternity child was the only trust. In Bangladesh, the total population is 48.6 percent of women. About 18 percent of women are capable of having children. Many problems occur during pregnancy, during and subsequent women who are capable of having children. Because of this, women have to be very careful at these times. About one-third of infant mortality in our country is the newborn. Bangladesh's newborn death rate is slowly decreasing.

 

According to one statistics, 1000 children in every 42 died of various complications. Although the causes of infectious diseases are reduced, the causes of the newborn die have not yet been reduced. In Bangladesh, 5 percent of children are born with nutritional deficiency. About 33 percent of children under the age of 5 are not taller according to age and 41percent is less than the age of the baby.

Every year at least 24 million women give birth to children in the country without any modern system. In this way, the lack of awareness is constantly causing maternal mortality. Outside of the big cities, many women die every year in the hands of inefficient midwives. At birth, 25 percent of the birth of the birth of the child, postpartum complications and unhealthy atmosphere of delivery are killed. In the hands of the inefficient midwife, more than 60 percent of the delivery; So that the death of mothers increases manifold. Childhood is also a major obstacle to safe motherhood. The number of pregnancy in the country is 5 percent. According to statistics, one of every three teenagers gains pregnancy experience.

 

Statistics have shown that only the delivery of childbirth may change by delivery through trained midwives. And first of all, there is a need for adequately trained midwives, who will be with mothers during delivery at home, sometimes deliver themselves, and encourage the parents to send to the doctors of the health centers in complex situations during delivery.

 

If pregnant women do not get proper services during pregnancy, then there are various problems during the birth. Expert doctors believe that the woman should seek refuge immediately after the woman is pregnant. Food should be taken and moved according to advice.
