6 robbers arrested while preparing for robbery in Gobindaganj

Police have arrested 6 robbers of an inter-district robbery gang while preparing for a robbery in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha. A private car, various mobile towers and various lock-cutting devices used by them were seized during this time.
They are members of an inter-district robbery gang that has tied up security guards of various mobile towers, mobile and gold shops and
robbed them of valuables by cutting their locks. There are multiple cases against them in different police stations.
Police and locals said that 6 robbers of an inter-district robbery gang were stationed at the Gobindaganj Charmatha intersection at around 8:30 pm on Thursday night with the intention of committing a robbery. After receiving such news based on secret information, the Gobindaganj police station conducted a drive and arrested them.
The arrested robbers are Jewel (34), son of the late Amjad Hossain of Chandan Path village in Saghata upazila of Gaibandha district, Rakib (32), son of the late Abdur Rashid of Sadar upazila of Chandpur district, Sohag (30), son of Taiyob Ali of Naopi village in Laksam upazila of Comilla district, Zahurul (32), son of Saojan Ali of Naopi village in Laksam upazila of Comilla district, Faruk (28), son of the late Abdus Sattar of Naopi village in Laksam upazila of Comilla district, and Ismail (33), son of the late Hares Uddin of Halim Nagar area in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola
district.
Gobindaganj Police Station OC (Investigation) Iqbal Pasha confirmed their arrest and said that they were handed over to the
Naogaon District DB Police that night.
