DU takes special initiative to address challenges, hassles -free in first-year undergraduate admissions

To alleviate the difficulties and inconveniences faced by students during the payment of various fees, including deposits for departments/institutes and halls, for first-year undergraduate admissions at Dhaka University, the university authorities have taken a special initiative.
To alleviate the difficulties and inconveniences faced by students during the payment of various fees, including deposits for departments/institutes and halls, for first-year undergraduate admissions at Dhaka University, the university authorities have taken a special initiative.
Accordingly, starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, students will be able to pay these deposits and fees online or directly at their respective department/institute/hall offices.
This decision was recently made based on the recommendations of a meeting regarding online payment of admission fees, chaired by Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Sayma Haque Bidisha on February 25, 2025.
This is the first time such an initiative has been introduced to reduce students' hardships. As a result of this initiative, students will no longer have to endure the hassle of standing in long queues at banks to pay fees, as was the case previously. Students can access all information related to admission and other fees through the university’s online admission website.
It is mentioned instructions have already been issued to all departments, institutes, and halls of Dhaka University via internal notices and emails to take necessary measures in this regard.
