The beneficiary farmers and entrepreneurs of the organization were formally honoured at an event organized by the non-governmental development organization Sagarika Samaj Unnayan Sangstha in Subarnachar
The organization's Integrated Agriculture Unit presented the award to entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the agricultural sector by taking innovative and sustainable initiatives in the 2024-25 fiscal year at a ceremony held at Sagarika's head office at 10 am on Thursday.
The event was moderated by Zulfiqar Ali, Program Coordinator of Sagarika Social Development Organization, and chaired by Md. Saiful Islam, Executive Director of the organization, who was present as the chief guest.
Noakhali District Livestock Officer Abul Kalam Azad. Noakhali Assistant Director Nur Hasan Sajeeb, Subarnachar Upazila Agriculture Officer Harun Or Rashid, Upazila Livestock Officer Md. Fakhrul Islam, Upazila Livestock Officer Anisur Rahman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Shahidul Islam, Sagarika Agriculture Officer Shibbrata Bhowmik and others were present as special guests.
During the discussion, Sagarika officials said that successful farmers using innovative technologies are recognized under the supervision of Sagarika's agricultural unit. Such an event will create enthusiasm among farmers and have a positive impact on sustainable agriculture and fisheries development. In addition, the success stories of entrepreneurs can serve as inspiration for others.
At the end of the event, the guests presented awards to a total of six successful farmers and entrepreneurs, two each in the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors.
