2,305 farmers in Dighinala get Farmer Card

The 'Farmer Card' program has been inaugurated for 2,305 farmer families in Merung Union No. 1 of Dighinala Upazila of Khagrachhari. The program was organized on Thursday afternoon at the Chota Merung High School grounds as part of the implementation of the 31-point plan announced by the BNP.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman virtuallu inaugurated the program Local administration officials, public representatives, political leaders, and farmers were present at the Chhota Merung High School grounds.
Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner Md. Anwar Sadat, Superintendent of Police Md. Mortaza Ali Khan, Khagrachhari Hill District Council Executive Officer Md. Ilias Mehedi, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Md. Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, District Council member Md. Mosharraf Hossain, member M. A. Afsar and member Advocate Malek Mintu were present as guests at the event.
Dighinala Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Shahadat Hossain, Upazila BNP President Md. Shafiqul Islam, General Secretary Md. Joynal Abedin, Dighinala Press Club President Md. Al Amin, chairman of five unions, officials and employees of the Upazila Agriculture Department and others concerned were present.
Dighinala UNO (Acting) Faria Sultana presided over the program. Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Kamruzzaman Sumon conducted the program.
The concerned said that an initiative has been taken to easily and directly deliver government agricultural services and assistance to farmers through the 'Farmer Card'.
