Chattogram Bureau 

 An exchange meeting was held in Chattogram on Friday to provide legal consultation and assistance to individuals suffering from land disputes, ownership complications, possession conflicts, and documentation issues.

Organized by Integrated Social Development Effort (ISDE) in collaboration with the Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD), the event took place at 10:00 AM on.Friday at the ISDE office in the city's Chandgaon Residential Area. Over 50 victims of land-related disputes received direct legal advice and necessary support during the session.

ALRD Program Officer (Legal) Advocate Ruli Islam discussed legal provisions and dispute resolution mechanisms concerning land ownership. Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Central Committee Vice President and ISDE Executive Director S.M. Nazer Hossain attended as the chief guest.

Also present were CAB Chattogram Metropolitan Organizational Secretary Jannatul Ferdous, Joint Secretary Mohammad Selim Jahangir, CAB leaders Mohammad Jane Alam, Ismail Faruqui, Alamgir Badsha, Emdadul Islam Saikat, Daily Purbodesh Staff Reporter M.A. Hossain, CSDF Project Coordinator Shampa K. Nahar, and Youth CAB leader Rayhanul Islam.

Speakers at the meeting noted that ordinary citizens routinely face harassment and financial losses due to complex land disputes and often remain deprived of justice owing to a lack of legal awareness and proper advice. They emphasized that initiatives like this play a vital role in raising awareness, resolving land disputes, and safeguarding the rights of marginalized communities.

Organizers reaffirmed their commitment to supporting citizens struggling with property disputes and assisting them in securing their legal rights.
