5 more marrested in Patgram PS attack

In connection with the attack and vandalism at Patgram Police Station in Lalmonirhat, and the subsequent snatching of a convicted prisoner, police have arrested five more individuals, including the fugitive convict Belal Hossain.
The arrested are: Belal Hossain (28),Zulfikar Ali (23),Khayrul Islam (38),Mizanur Rahman (33),Lazu (30)
They were apprehended during raids conducted on Sunday night in various areas of Patgram. Acting on a tip-off, police also arrested Belal Hossain, who had been sentenced to one month in jail and was forcibly taken away during the police station attack.
With these arrests, a total of 12 people have been apprehended over three days in connection with the Patgram police station attack and inmate snatching case, including Sohel Rana and Belal Hossain.
Separately, in relation to the blockade of Hatibandha Police Station, Nurunnabi Kajol, the Upazila Convener of Swechhasebak Dal, and another individual were arrested. Following his arrest, the party expelled Nurunnabi Kajol on Saturday night.
Superintendent of Police in Lalmonirhat, Md. Tarikul Islam, and OC of DB, Sad Ahmed, confirmed the matter, stating that operations are ongoing to arrest others involved. Security has been tightened with joint patrols by RAB, BGB, police, and Ansar personnel.
Earlier, a team from RAB-13, Rangpur, had arrested three accused involved in the vandalism at Patgram Police Station.
The area remains under high tension following the police station attack and the snatching of prisoners.
