In Kalai upazila of Joypurhat, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a leaflet distribution and mass rally to promote the 31-point outline for state structure reform proposed by the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The rally was held on at 6pm on Thursday starting from the Kalai Bus Stand. It paraded through the main roads of the area and concluded at the starting point.
Following the rally, leaflets were distributed among the general public, and a street meeting was held. The chief guest at the event was BNP National Executive Committee member and former Member of Parliament Engineer Golam Mostafa.
Other speakers included Anisur Rahman Talukder, member of Joypurhat District BNP; Adv Harunur Rashid Harun, former acting general secretary of Joypurhat District Nationalist Lawyers Forum; Advocate Ruhul Amin Faruq, secretary of publicity, publication, and documentation of the Joypurhat District Bar Association; former district BNP treasurer Abdus Sabur; former member Mamunur Rashid Sarkar; Toufiqul Islam Master; Mozzafar Hossain Talukder; former general secretary of the Upazila Jubo Dal Eftadul Haque; former general secretary of the District Women’s Wing Nurjahan Happy; and Acting General Secretary of the District Chhatra Dal Raisul Alam Ripon.
