Body of missing person recovered from river in Shajahanpur two days after missing

Police recovered the body of a missing person from a river in the Rangeela Ghat area of Kachuadah village in Chupinagar union of Shajahanpur upazila of Bogura.
On Wednesday at 5 pm, locals saw a body floating in the river and informed the police. On receiving the information, Shajahanpur police reached the spot and recovered the body.
The deceased is Jahidul Islam (45), son of the late Alor Azgar of Jalshuka Madhyapara village of the upazila. He had been missing since leaving his house around 2 pm on August 3. Later, relatives identified the body floating in the river as his on Wednesday noon.
Family members claim that Jahidul Islam lost his mental balance after suffering a brain stroke about two years ago. Since then, he often went to different places without a purpose. After the disappearance, family members searched for him in various possible places but could not find him.
Shajahanpur Police Station OC Ashiq Iqbal said, "Upon receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. After completing the post-mortem, the body has been sent to the Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
