DU hosts awareness meeting on Bangla QR Code

An awareness exchange meeting on Bangla QR was held on Thursday at MBA Bhaban of Dhaka University organized by the Department of Accounting to promote a cashless economy.
DU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam inaugurated the event, emphasizing Bangla QR's role in enabling fast, safe, and interoperable digital transactions across all banks, mobile financial services (MFS), and payment providers. He also urged banking institutions to support insolvent university students.
Chaired by Accounting Department Chairman Prof Dr. Makshudur Rahman Sarkar, the session featured Bangladesh Bank Governor Md. Mostaqur Rahman as chief guest and Dutch-Bangla Bank MD & CEO Md. Ehteshamul Haque Khan as special guest. The event provided faculty, students, and staff with insights into digital payments, featuring a live transaction demonstration, a presentation, and an interactive Q&A session.
