
Coast Guard drive in Moheshkhali : Locally made firearms, live cartridges recovered

The Bangladesh Coast Guard has recovered one locally made firearm and three rounds of live cartridges during an operation in Moheshkhali.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque in a press release stated that based on secret information, a special operation was conducted in the early hours of Sunday ( 24 August) in the area adjacent to the Coast Guard Station Mpheshkhali, Kalaramarchhara, Mijjir Para, targeting a hideout of terrorists.
Upon sensing the Coast Guard's operation, the terrorists fled, abandoning their firearms and ammunition. During this time, 1 locally made firearm and 3 rounds of live cartridges were recovered.
To maintain the stability of the country's law and order situation, the Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future.
