Acting on a tip-off, a specialized team from Coast Guard Outpost Shah Pari conducted an operation in the Jaliapara section of the Naf River at around 8:00 AM on Thursday. During a subsequent search of the surrounding waters, Coast Guard members retrieved a floating bag containing 30,000 Yaba tablets worth Tk 1.50 crore.
Legal proceedings regarding the confiscated contraband have been taken. The Coast Guard will continue its anti-narcotics operations to curb the spread of illegal drugs in coastal regions, the press release added.
