BNP Joint Secretary General and MP from Narsingdi-1 Sadar constituency Khairul Kabir Khokon said, everyone has to work from their respective positions to prevent river pollution. Many industrial owners have not yet set up ETP plants to treat industrial waste. They will be brought under the ETP plant soon. In addition, necessary action will be taken against those involved in river pollution.
He made these remarks to reporters after inspecting the Madhavadi Merchants Association elections afternoon.
Khairul Kabir Khokon said, "Just as the national elections were held in a festive and impartial manner, the current government is determined to make the upcoming local government elections free, fair and impartial in the same vein."
Among others, Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Rashedul Hasan Rintu (CIP) and Narsingdi District BNP Joint General Secretary Mohsin Hossain Bidyut inspected the election.
Voting has started at Madhavadi Girls School and College center from 9 am. The total number of voters in the election is 2,032. Out of this, there are 31 candidates against 1,342 voters in Zone No. 1, 4 candidates against 290 voters in Zone No. 2, 2 candidates against 52 voters in Zone No. 3 and 2 candidates against 345 voters in Zone No. 4, for a total of 39 candidates. Among them, 11 candidates will be the winner, 2 in Zone No. 2, 1 in Zone No. 3 and 1 in Zone No. 4, a total of 15 candidates including the winning candidates. An executive committee including the voting president and secretary will be formed.
