FIFA Foundation’s ‘Playing for Peace’ programme enters 2nd phase in Dhaka ​

Obhizatrik Foundation officially inaugurated the second-year activities of the "Playing for Peace: FIFA Foundation Community Programme 2025–2026" on Wednesday at Gulshan Youth Club football turf in the capital.

As the sole implementing partner of the FIFA Foundation Community Programme in Bangladesh, Obhizatrik Foundation supports 1,100 young people in Mirpur, including 1,000 underprivileged children and 50 children with intellectual disabilities. The initiative combines regular football training with life skills education, psychosocial counseling, and social development activities.

Building on its initial success, the second phase expands the initiative to include quarterly tournaments, specialized coaching for children with special needs, digital classrooms, and youth-led community projects.

ibition match, a trophy distribution ceremony, and remarks from key leaders.

Abdur Rahman Sani, APS-2 to the Prime Minister, commended the project as a critical social investment in youth development. Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Vice President Fahad Karim noted that the initiative brings valued international recognition to the country's sports development efforts.

Gulshan Youth Club President Dr. Wahiduzzaman (Tamal) reaffirmed ongoing facility and community support for the initiative. Closing the event, Obhizatrik Foundation President Ahmed Imtiaz Jami stated that the program aims to leverage football not only to hone athletic skills, but to foster empathetic, confident, and responsible future leaders.
