
LOFS distributes mosquito nets among underprivileged children to control dengue in Rajshahi

The non-governmental service organization (NGO) Ladies Organization for Social Welfare (LOFS) Rajshahi has raised dengue awareness and distributed mosquito nets among underprivileged children and students in Rajshahi.
It is learned that this program is being implemented under the Education Assistance and Merit Scholarship Program.
Rajshahi Social Service Officer Md. Abdul Momin was present as the chief guest at the event organized by Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF) at Rajshahi Social Service Office on Thursday at 11 am.
Program Officer Champa Khatun, City Social Services Office Office Assistant Md. Khairul Hasan and others were present at the event.
The program was hosted by Program Assistant Fahmida Ahmed Shruti.
The event was presided over by Shahnaz Parveen, Executive Director of LAFS and former Women's Commissioner. She advised the students who received mosquito nets on dengue awareness.
Chief guest Md. Abdul Momin said, "The surroundings of the house should always be kept clean and tidy. Water should not be allowed to accumulate anywhere. It is not enough to be aware yourself, you should also make your neighbors aware. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately."
