
Discussion in Natore in remembrance of July–August Mass Uprising

A discussion meeting was held in Natore in remembrance of the July–August Mass Uprising on Wednesday night.
The discussion was organized by the Abdur Rahman Public Library. The chief guest at the discussion was Prof Md. Abdul Bari Mirza, Principal of Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah Government College, Natore.
The discussion was presided over by the founder and president of Abdur Rahman Public Library, Vice Principal Md. Fazlur Rahman. Special guests were Dr. Md. Al Amin Islam, Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts, Natore District; Farazi Ahmad Rafiq Baban, President of Natore Press Club; and the chief adviser of the library, S.A.M.D. Manjurur Rahman.
Speakers said that the nation remembers with respect and gratitude the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the July Mass Uprising. Their sacrifice must be remembered repeatedly. Inequality must be eradicated, the rights of ordinary people must be established, and good governance must be ensured. They called upon everyone to play a responsible role in this regard.
On the occasion, a photography exhibition was organized at the library auditorium. Later, prizes were distributed among the winning students of a quiz competition on the July Mass Uprising.
