
Navy recovered local firearms along with equipment in separate drives in Moheshkhali

The Bangladesh Navy has recovered local firearms (one shotgun) and five sharp weapons in an operation in Moheshkhali on Wednesday.
Based on secret information, an operation was conducted after discovering the location of an organised gang of robbers armed with weapons in the Chamiraghona area of Kalamarchhara Union.
Although the gang fled upon noticing the presence of the Navy, the local firearms they left behind were recovered.
In a separate operation, one Chinese axe, three machetes, and one local kris were recovered from a shrimp farm's hut in the Barunaghat area of Moheshkhali Municipality.
The recovered weapons have been handed over to the Moheshkhali police authorities.
According to Navy sources, such activities will continue in the future in responsible areas for overall security and law and order maintenance.
Following government directives, the Navy is working rigorously against all types of criminals, including drug and arms traffickers.
