Pickpocket caught, stolen money recovered at Eye Institute by Ansar

Embodied Ansar members caught a pickpocket red-handed while stealing money from a patient's relative at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 11:20 AM near the ground floor elevator of the hospital. The suspect, identified as Md. Mahfuzar Rahman, 45, was detained on the spot, and stolen money was recovered from his possession.
According to hospital sources, on-duty Ansar members noticed Mahfuzar attempting to pick the pocket of a patient's attendant. Acting promptly, the personnel apprehended him and recovered Tk 1,150 from his possession.
The detainee was identified as the son of Abdul Manik, hailing from Munshipara in Ulipur municipality under Kurigram district.
Following verification, the recovered money was returned to its rightful owner. Upon instructions from hospital authorities, the suspect's statement was recorded before he was eventually released with a warning.
