No one could pass in three schools in Kurigram in the SSC examination . When the matter became public, it created discussion and criticism throughout the district.
The three schools are: Purba Kumarpur Adarsh High School in Kurigram Sadar Upazila. One candidate from there failed the exam. 11 candidates from Payradanga High School in Nageshwari Upazila failed and 9 candidates from Nazar Mahmud Adarsh High School in Phulbari Upazila failed.
In addition, in several schools in the district, the number of unsuccessful students is higher than successful students.
According to local sources, Purba Kumarpur Adarsh High School in Ghogadaha Union of Kurigram Sadar Upazila was established in 2003 and although it received academic recognition in 2014, the institution is not yet registered with MPO. Currently, the school has 9 teachers.

Kurigram District Education Officer Md. Shafiqul Islam said about the 100% failure rate, "I came to this district a few days ago. I don't know what the situation is in the schools with 100% failure rate. After making an on-site inquiry, the reason why no one passed from the schools will be asked from the headmaster."
