
Student community must come forward to truly free country from corruption : UNO Makhon Chandra Sutradhar

UNO Makhon Chandra Sutradhar said at the anti-corruption debate competition in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar that the student community must come forward to truly free the country from corruption. He said this while delivering a speech in the final round of the debate competition organized by the Kamalganj Corruption Prevention Committee at 3 pm today at the Upazila Parishad conference room.
On Monday (May 5), Patanushar High School and College won the debate competition at the upazila level by arguing in favor of "Only accountable government system can suppress and prevent corruption". Patanushar High School and College and BAF Shahin College Shamshernagar participated in the final round of the debate competition.
Kamalganj UNO Makhon Chandra Sutradhar performed the responsibility of moderator in the debate competition.
Moderated by journalist Maidul Islam, the guests of honour were present at the event, Md. Ershad Mia, Deputy Director of the Integrated District Office of the Corruption Prevention Commission, Habiganj, Oli Ahmed Khan, Chairman of Patanushar Union Parishad, Shamshun Nahar Parvin, Upazila Secondary Education Officer, Abdul Hannan Chinu, Vice-President of the Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee, Md. Masuk Mia, Principal of Kamalganj Ideal KG and High School, Md. Wahid Rulu, Convener of Kamalganj Press Club, Member Secretary Ahmeduzzaman Alam, social worker Shafiqur Rahman, journalist Pintu Debnath and Munayem Khan, Momin Ahmed. Deputy Assistant Engineer of Kamalganj Public Health Engineering Department Sujan Ahmed, Upazila Assistant Primary Education Officer Joykumar Hazra, Upazila Statistics Officer (Acting) Imran Ali were present as judges in the debate competition.
Earlier, four schools of the upazila participated in the first phase of the competition on April 28.
