TCB to begin mobile truck sales of essentials from Sunday

The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling essential commodities in the capital and some other places from Sunday.
This programme will continue alongside its regular sales to smart family cardholders at subsidised rates
The sales programme will continue in Dhaka through 60 trucks from August 10 to September 13 excluding Fridays, according to a TCB press release.
Similar mobile truck sales will also run in Chattogram city (25 trucks), Gazipur city (6), Cumilla city (3), Dhaka district (8), Cumilla district (12), Faridpur district (4), Patuakhali district (5) and Bagerhat district (5) from August 10 to August 31, also excluding Fridays.
Each truck will serve around 500 customers daily selling soybean oil, sugar, and lentils at affordable prices to all consumers.
Under the programme 2 litres of soybean oil will be sold at Tk 230, 1 kg of sugar at Tk 80, and 2 kg of lentils at Tk 140.
Sales prices for smart family cardholders will remain unchanged.
