
Two drug peddlers arrested with yaba in Adamdighi

Two drug peddlers were arrested with 20 pieces of yaba tablets in front of Palash Residential Hotel near the Santahar Railway ticket counter in Adamdighi, Bogra, by Santahar Town Police Outpost on Wednesday.
A case was filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act at Adamdighi Police Station, and they were sent to the Bogra District Court.
The arrested individuals with yaba tablets are Ruhul Amin (37), son of late Abul Kalam Azad of Hosenpur village under Mohadevpur Police Station in Naogaon district, and Abdul Majid (27), son of Motaleb Hossain of Uttar Gram area under the same police station.
Regarding the incident, Sub-Inspector Bokul Hossain of Santahar Town Police Outpost said, “Based on secret information, last night I, along with my team, conducted a raid in front of Palash Residential Hotel in the station area and arrested them. During the body search, 20 pieces of the banned narcotic yaba tablets were recovered, and a white Toyota Rav-4 Hybrid private car used by them was seized.”
Confirming the matter, OC of Adamdighi Police Station Mostafizur Rahman said, “Last night, the accused were arrested with yaba tablets from the Santahar Railway Station area.
A case was filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act at the police station, and this afternoon they were sent to Bogra District Jail through the court.”
