Youth arrested with 58 bottles of Phensedyl in DB operation in Gangachhara

A youth was arrested with 58 bottles of Phensedyl in a special operation of the Rangpur District Detective Branch (DB).
The operation was conducted in the Gannarpar area of Gangachhara Upazila on Saturday afternoon based on a secret tip-off.
A team led by SI Amit Partha Sarkar of the District DB Police along with a supporting force conducted an operation in the Gangnarpar area of Gangachara Union No. 6 under Gangachara Police Station and stopped a green three-wheeler CNG without passengers and searched it. During the search, 58 bottles of Phensedyl were recovered from a white plastic bag specially hidden under the rear seat of the CNG.
At this time, the driver of the CNG, Md. Al Mamun Firoz (22), was arrested red-handed from the scene. He is a resident of Sundrahabi village of Kaliganj Police Station in Lalmonirhat district. Son of Rabiul Islam.
The arrested accused was handed over to Gangachara Police Station along with the seized Phensedyl and a regular case has been registered against him under the Narcotics Control Act.
