14 detained at Jibannagar border while illegally entering India

Members of the 58th Battalion of the BGB have detained 14 people, including three women and two children, from the Jibannagar border in Chuadanga while illegally entering India.
 
They were detained in front of the Simanta Union Parishad of Jibannagar upazila of the district at around 4:30 pm on Sunday.
 
This information was given in a press release signed by the Assistant Director of the 58th Battalion of the BGB and Acting Quartermaster Mohammad Saiful Islam.
 
The detainees are Hasan Kazi, son of Shahadat Kazi, of Ghatabila village in Mollahat upazila of Bagerhat district, Yunus Alai, son of the late Abdur Rob of Basatpur village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore, Hisen Ali, son of Chan Mia of Bahilapota village, Azizur Rahman, son of the late Zahir Uddin of Shakharipota village, Delwar Hossain, son of Ismail Molla of Bahilapota village, Sohel Hossain, son of Hafizur Rahman of Ghiba village, Zahidur Rahman, son of Tabibur Rahman of Chachra village in Jessore Sadar, Ilias, son of Khorshed Alam of Wasekpur village in Sonaimuri police station of Noakhali, and Yusuf Nabi, son of Abdur Razzak of Hatirkheda village in Ramgarh upazila of Khagrachhari district.
 
The remaining five people include three women and two children. The BGB did not reveal their names and identities for the sake of social security.
 
The BGB further said in the release that these Bangladeshi nationals were detained while conducting regular patrols under the leadership of Habildar Md. Monowar Hossain of Jibannagar BOP. The detainees have been handed over to Jibannagar Police Station after completing the legal process.
