Colourful religious procession in Rangamati on Buddha Purnima

A colourful procession, discussion meeting and award distribution ceremony have been organized on the occasion of the birth, enlightenment and Mahaparinirvana of Mahamati Gautam Buddha on the occasion of Shubo Buddha Purnima-2569 Buddhist year.
A religious procession has been taken out in Rangamati on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. The procession took place from Tabalchhari Minister Club ground to Buddhankar Buddhist Vihara on Sunday.
Region Commander Brigadier General Nazmul Haque, Rangamati Sadar Zone Commander Lt. Colonel Md. Junayed Uddin Shah Chowdhury, President of the Revolutionary Workers Party Rangamati District Committee and Convener of the Shubo Buddha Purnima Parishad Nirmal Barua Milan, General Secretary of the Revolutionary Workers Party Rangamati District Committee Jui Chakma and other Buddhist religious leaders participated in the procession.
The guests of honor at the event organized by Rangamati Barua Janakalyan Sangstha and Shuvo Buddha Purnima Parishad at Buddhankar Buddhist Monastery were Deputy Commissioner Md. Habib Ullah Maruf, Superintendent of Police SM Farhad Hossain Chowdhury, Rangamati Sadar Zone Commander Lt. Col. Md. Junayed Uddin Shah Chowdhury, Ansar and VDP District Commandant Md. Anwar Hossain BPM.
The speakers said that we will move forward together in the Chittagong Hill Tracts without any discrimination based on caste, religion, caste or tribe.
