Nor'wester hits Manda : Farmer killed in lightning, shops damaged

Nor'wesrer hit Manda Upazila in Naogaon damsging some shops and tin -shed houses and one farmer has been killed and the other farmer has been injured in the thunderstorm at 4 pm on Sunday.
The shops of markets including Pirpali Bazar. At the same time, the farmers were subjected to thunderstorms while picking up dry rice in the field.
The deceased was identified as Zillur Rahman (40), the son of the deceased Aisha Uddin of Diapara village of Kusumba union. Shafiqul Islam, who was injured in lightning, is a resident of the same neighborhood.
Local resident Altaf Hossain said the farmer Zillur Rahman went to the field to keep the dried paddy in the field after seeing the clouds in the sky. He died suddenly on the spot. Shafiqul Islam, another farmer on the adjoining land, was injured. He was treated locally. The shadow of mourning has come down in the area.
Kusumba Sadar UP chairman Nofel Ali Mandal confirmed the death in thunderbolt.
