15 Chhatra League leaders, activists arrested from former Barguna former MP's house in Dhaka

Police have arrested 15 leaders and activists of the banned Chhatra League from the house of Md. Shawkat Hasanur Rahman Rimon, a former member of parliament from Barguna-2 constituency in Uttara Sector 7 of the capital. on Monday night.
According to law enforcement sources, a raid was conducted at the house in Sector 7 of Uttara based on secret information. Fifteen people staying there were detained during this time. Later, the process of taking legal action against them has been initiated.
DMP Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) Md. Akter Hossain said that the reason for the arrestees' stay at the house and whether they were conducting any kind of organizational activities there are being investigated.
Shawkat Hasanur Rahman Rimon was elected as a member of parliament as an Awami League candidate from Barguna-2 constituency in the 2014 and 2018 national parliamentary elections.
