23 arrested in Rajshahi city during Special Operation

A total of 23 individuals were arrested in Rajshahi Metropolitan area during a special operation carried out by the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), including local police station units and the Detective Branch (DB) . The arrests were made over the past 24 hours ending Thursdsy
across various locations in the city.
According to RMP sources, two individuals were detained in connection with an attack on the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, alleged involvement in an explosion, and other violent activities. Additionally, 21 others were arrested in the same operation—six of whom were wanted under existing warrants, two in narcotics-related cases, and 13 for various other offenses.
The two primary individuals arrested for their suspected roles in the protest-related incident have been identified as:Md. Sellal (46), an Awami League activist from Terkhadia Paschim Para under Rajpara Police Station; son of the late Shakidar alias Shakbor Sheikh.Md. Arif Hossain Babul (49), an Awami League supporter from Bospara under Boalia Police Station; son of the late Taslim Uddin.Legal action has been initiated against all detainees, confirmed RMP officials.
