36 Kalai students awarded scholarships by Shikkha Britti Foundation

The Shikkha Britti Foundation of Kalai Upazila distributed scholarships among 36 meritorious students of different schools and madrasas for the academic year 2025. The award ceremony was held at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Friday morning.
Presided over by Shamim Ara, President of the foundation and UNO of Kalai, the event was jointly moderated by Acting General Secretary Principal Md Shahjahan Ali and Publicity Sub-Committee Convener Principal Md Abdul Karim.
A total of 36 students from Class V to Class X—18 from schools and 18 from madrasas—were selected for the scholarship. According to the foundation, students securing the first position in their respective classes received taka 3,000, while those in second and third positions were awarded taka 2,500 and taka 2,000 respectively as a one-time grant.
Addressing the occasion, Md Ibrahim Hossain Fakir, Convener of Kalai Upazila BNP, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in encouraging local students. Among others, Joint General Secretary of the foundation Md Motiur Rahman, student representative Nafisa Akter, and parent representative Md Firoz Hossain also spoke.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Kalai Upazila BNP Joint Convener Md Moudud Alam Sarker, Pourashava BNP Joint Convener Abdul Alim Sarker, and Vice Presidents of the foundation Abdul Mannan and Alhaj Md Abdul Majid Mollik.
Also present were Omar Abdul Aziz Talukdar, Headmaster of Omar Kindergarten School & Omar Garten Academy; Principal (Acting) Md Shah Alam of Hatior Kamil Madrasa; Principal Abu Taher of Begungram Chashmaye Ulum Fazil Madrasa; and Md Samiul Haque Sayem, member of the Publicity and Publication Sub-Committee, along with other local educationists and social leaders.
The program commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Md Tofiqul Islam.
