43rd founding anniv of Faridpur Sahitya Parishad celebrated

The 43rd founding anniversary of the Faridpur Sahitya Parishad and the 51st death anniversary of the eminent poet Sufi Motahar Hossain were marked with a program featuring self-criticism and a monodrama performance.
Organized by the Faridpur Sahitya Parishad, the event took place on Thursday evening. Along with celebrating the founding anniversary of the Parishad, tribute was paid to the literary works and memory of poet Sufi Motahar Hossain.
The session was presided over by Professor Altaf Hossain, President of the Faridpur Sahitya Parishad.
Veteran educator and social worker Professor M.A. Samad, Vice-President of the Sahitya Parishad Professor Abdul Hamid Mulla, General Secretary Mofiz Imam Milon, Joint Secretary Mahbub Hossain Pial, senior journalist Panna Bala, poet Shamim Ara Begum, playwright M. Ahmed Nizam, President of Binodon Natyadal Tonmoy Sarkar Anchol, poet Alim Al Razi, and poet Abdur Razzak Raza, among others, were present at the event.
One of the major highlights of the event was the staging of the monodrama "Notonondon", presented by Binodon Natyadal. Tonmoy Sarkar Anchol performed as the sole actor in the play, which portrays the life and struggles of a theatre worker.
Organizers stated that the primary objective of such events is to enrich the literary and cultural practices of Faridpur while fostering interest in literature and theatre among the younger generation.
