Demand to declare Maulana Bhashani's death anniversary national day

Before the start of the journey of the new committee of the Bhashani Sramik Party, wreaths were laid at the shrine of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani in Santosh, Tangail, to pay tribute.
A rally was held at the Bhashani shrine premises on Friday afternoon under the initiative of the Bhashani Sramik Party. After the rally circumambulated the shrine premises, the leaders paid their respects by placing wreaths at the shrine.
Later, a discussion meeting was held in the premises of the shrine under the chairmanship of Bhashani Janashakti Party Secretary General Dr. Abu Yusuf Selim. Bhashani Janashakti Party Chairman Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, Bhashani Sramik Party President Babul Biswas, NAP Bhashani President Hasrat Khan Bhashani and leaders of various political parties spoke in the meeting.
At that time, Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, chairman of Bhashani Janashakti Party, said, "People all over the world respect Maulana Bhashani. Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman also respect him. We demand that the death anniversary of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani be declared a national day."
He said, "If our demands are not met, we will first hold a protest program. Later, we will hold a hunger strike to death. We do not want to embarrass this government. But our demands must be met.
Leaders and activists of various political parties including Bhasani Sramik Party, Bhasani Janashakti Party, NAP Bhasani were present at the event.
