BAUET holds 21st Scholarship and Waiver Committee meet

The 21st Scholarship and Waiver Committee Meeting of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) was held on Sunday in the university's Syndicate Room. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Brigadier General S M Lutfor Rahman.
During the meeting, the committee recommended scholarships and tuition fee waivers amounting to over BDT 31 lac 53 thousnad for students enrolled in the Summer 2025 and Winter 2025 semesters. The beneficiaries include financially disadvantaged but meritorious students, siblings studying at the university, children of military personnel, students who achieved GPA-5 in both SSC and HSC examinations, and students eligible under other scholarship and waiver categories.
The meeting was attended by Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, psc (Retd.), Treasurer of BAUET; Prof Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Science & Humanities and Law; Prof Dr. Mohammad Nurul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Professor Mohammed Golam Sarwar Bhuyan, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE); Major Hasibul Haque, AC, representative of Area Headquarters, Bogura Cantonment; Major Md. Monjinul Mubin (Retd.), Deputy Registrar (Admin) and Acting Registrar; the concerned Heads of Departments; and the Student Welfare Adviser. Md. Masudar Rahman, Assistant Professor of the Department of Mathematics, attended the meeting as the Member Secretary of the committee.
