DU Alumni Association celebrates its 78th founding anniversary

The 78th founding anniversary of the Dhaka University Alumni Association was celebrated today, Saturday through various programs. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam inaugurated these programs as the chief guest at a function held at the Senate Bhaban premises.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Convener of Dhaka University Alumni Association, and was attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani, members of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association and invited guests. The program was moderated by ATM Abdul Bari Danny, Member-Secretary of Dhaka University Alumni Association.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam called upon the Alumni Association to work in unity with the university administration to advance education and research at Dhaka University. He said that the university administration has taken the initiative to form two separate funds to conduct research activities and provide scholarships to indigent students. He called upon the Alumni Association to play an effective role in making this initiative successful.
