Mahady Hasan : Assistant Professor of DU Arabic Department a proud son of Chandpur

Mahade Hasan, an academic from Chandpur, is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arabic at the University of Dhaka.
Mahade Hasan initially joined the department as a Lecturer in 2018. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Arabic from the University of Dhaka in 2013, securing first class first position. In 2014, he earned his Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and Arabic Language Teaching (ALT) from the same university with a CGPA of 3.97, again securing the top position.
For his academic achievements, Mahade Hasan was awarded the Prime Minister Gold Medal in 2014 and the Dean's Award of Merit from the University of Dhaka.
He completed a second master's degree in 2019 from Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) under a Brunei Government Scholarship. He is pursuing higher studies in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States.
His research interests focus on Arabic language and literature, applied linguistics, Islamic finance and banking, and Middle Eastern history, culture, and politics.
Mahade Hasan hails from Manuri village in Faridganj upazila, Chandpur. He is the only son of Manowarul Islam—the youngest son of the late Peer of Manuri Darbar Sharif—and Hasina, daughter of freedom fighter leader Kobbad Khan from Dhanua Sekandar Khan Bari.
