BGB seizes 102 bottles of Indian liquor, smuggled goods worth Tk 3 million in Netrakona operation

Netrokona Battalion (31 BGB) conducted a special operation in separate places in the border area and seized 102 bottles of Indian liquor, including smuggled goods worth more than Tk 3 million, without owners.
In a press release sent to journalists signed by Netrokona Battalion (31 BGB) Commander Lt. Col. Touhidul Bari PSC, it was informed that based on its own intelligence information, a patrol team of Munshipara BOP conducted a special anti-drug operation in the area of Karaigarh in Dakshin Maijpara Union of Dhobaura Upazila on Thursday night at around 10 pm and seized 102 bottles of banned Indian liquor without owners.
On the other hand, a patrol team of Baruakona BOP conducted a special anti-smuggling operation in Rajabari Bridge in Rangchati Union of Kalmakanda Upazila on Thursday night at around 3 am and searched an ownerless truck and found 210 kg of Indian cumin, 1264 kg of fuchka, 1000 Peace Ponds has seized the truck along with the seized powder.
The estimated value of the seized truck along with the seized goods is 30 lakh 71 thousand taka. The seized liquor was deposited with the Netrokona Narcotics Control Department on Friday (April 3) morning and the seized smuggled goods were deposited with the Netrokona Customs Office.
