Coast Guard provides free medical treatment, medicines to flood victims in Banshkhali

The Bangladesh Coast Guard conducted a special day-long medical campaign in Banshkhali upazila of Chattogram today, providing free medical treatment and essential medicines to flood-affected residents.
Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon, Media Officer at Coast Guard Headquarters, informed this on Wednesday night.
As part of its regular commitment to providing healthcare and humanitarian assistance to vulnerable coastal and riverine communities, the Coast Guard East Zone organized the medical camp at the Shekherkhil-1 Government Primary School in Banshkhali. The campaign ran continuously from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
During the drive, a specialized medical team from the Coast Guard treated a total of 676 flood-affected people, diagnosing various waterborne and general health issues, and distributing necessary prescription medicines free of cost.
