Collision between covered van, pickup in Sreenagar

One person was injured in a head-on collision between a covered van and a pickup in Sreenagar.
The accident occurred around 6:00 AM on Monday in front of Al-Madina Mosque in the Harpara area of the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Srinagar. Amjad Hossain (41), a passenger of the pickup, was injured in the incident. He is the son of the late Akkas Ali from the Shologhar village of Sreenagar upazila.
According to sources, the collision took place on the service lane of the expressway in front of Al-Madina Mosque between a Dhaka-bound covered van (Dhaka Metro T-20-7588) and a Srinagar-bound pickup (Dhaka Metro N-17-4896). One person was trapped inside the pickup during the accident. Fire service personnel arrived at the scene and rescued the injured individual.
Dewan Azad Hossain, Station Officer of the Sreenagar Fire Service, stated that upon receiving the report, they used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the injured person trapped inside the vehicle and sent him to the Srinagar Upazila Health Complex.
