
Training workshop on firearms usage, maintenance held in Barishal

With the aim of enhancing the professional skills of police personnel and making them more proficient in the use of firearms,
Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) organized the training workshop on Tuesday.
The three-day long training titled “Firearms Usage and Maintenance/25” began in the morning at the BMP Police Lines Training Unit in Rupatali.
The workshop was inaugurated by BMP Commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam. He said, “Proper training on firearm usage proficiency and maintenance is essential for police members. There is no alternative to such training in delivering public service to the doorstep of citizens while maintaining professionalism.” Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters/CSB) Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique, Deputy Police Commissioner (North) Mr. Sushanta Sarkar, Deputy Police Commissioner (South) Mr. Mohammad Imdad Hossain, and Assistant Police Commissioner and BMP Staff Officer Mr. Pronoy Roy were present.
Constables and ASI-level police members are participating in the training workshop. Over the next three days, hands-on training will be provided on firearm usage techniques, safety regulations, maintenance, and relevant laws.
