The "Cub Carnival 2025" was held at Rangpur Sadar Upazila, organized by Bangladesh Scouts on Monday morning, at the Upazila Parishad ground.
The program began with the hoisting of the national and scout flags and the rendition of the national anthem and scout songs.
The event was inaugurated by the Director of the Local Government of Rangpur Division, Mr. Abu Jafar, who was present as the chief guest. Special guests included Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Rangpur District Administration. The ceremony was presided over by the UNO of Sadar Upazila, Md.Saiful Islam, who also serves as the President of the Upazila Scouts.
In his speech, the chief guest said, "To develop children into ideal citizens, the scouting movement must be expanded further. Scout activities teach children discipline and leadership in a joyful environment, which is highly valuable."
Students from various schools of the Upazila and cub members participated in different departmental activities at the carnival.
