The Cumilla District Committee of the government-registered Bangladesh Reporters Club Trust on Thursday extended floral greetings and held a.view exchange. meeting with the newly -appointed Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Cumilla Rozy Akter.

During the courtesy meeting held at the Cumilla DC office on Thursday, the Comilla North regional representative and General Secretary of the organization's district committee, journalist Md. Mamunur Rashid, presented a copy of the English daily The Country Today to the newly -appointed DC.

The delegation also included Bangladesh Reporters Club Trust Cumilla District Committee President Tauhidul Islam Faisal, Joint General Secretary Mazarul Islam, Office Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, and Publicity Secretary Motaleb Hossain, alongside other members of the district executive body.

During the interaction, the media leaders pledged to maintain a responsible and professional role in supporting the district administration to advance Comilla's overall development, maintain law and order, establish good governance, and facilitate public welfare services. They expressed optimism that a coordinated effort between the administration and the press would significantly accelerate the district’s growth.

In response, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Rozy Akter thanked the journalists for their warm welcome and constructive engagement. She sought the active cooperation of media professionals alongside citizens from all walks of life to add momentum to regional development and administrative activities, expressing her firm commitment to working collectively for the comprehensive progress of Cumilla.
