The "Hello DC" initiative, launched by the Dhaka District Administration to bring public services directly to citizens' doorsteps, has garnered significant positive response, serving a total of 2,091 people during its first month of operation.

According to a monthly service report released on Sunday by the Dhaka District Administration, a total of 944 applications were submitted through the digital platform. Out of these, services for 742 applications have been successfully completed, while 39 applications are currently undergoing processing and 46 remain pending. Due to information gaps and application errors, 117 applications were canceled.

In addition to digital applications, a substantial number of citizens accessed services directly via phone calls and WhatsApp, with 1,349 individuals receiving assistance through these channels.

Through these diverse touchpoints, citizens received various forms of support, including appointments with the Deputy Commissioner, aid for disabled and distressed individuals, grievance hearings for expatriates, and actions against food adulteration and illegal khas land encroachment. Residents have also utilized the platform to report local issues and provide information to prompt administrative action.

Alongside digital service delivery, the Dhaka District Administration has continued on-the-ground developmental and welfare activities through the initiative, such as distributing 14 sewing machines simultaneously in Dohar, providing financial aid to 15 distressed individuals in Dhamrai, delivering relief supplies to the Bede community, and conducting cleanliness drives in Keranigan
