Dhaka Range DDG orders high alertness to ensure Durga Puja security

Deputy Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) Dhaka Range, Md. Asaduzzaman Gani, BVM, PVMS, inspected the Bagmara Sarbajanin Durga Temple and Bardhanpara Borobari Sarbajanin Durga Temple in Kalakopa area of Nawabganj Upazila under Dhaka district on Sunday.
During his visit to inspect security preparations for the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja-2026, he reviewed the overall security arrangements on-site and directed deployed Ansar-VDP personnel to perform their duties with maximum alertness, dedication, and professionalism. He emphasized maintaining communal harmony, identifying potential risks early, and remaining prepared to address any unwanted situations.
He directed the effective use of the 'Sharadiya Suraksha App' to enhance temple security and facilitate immediate information sharing, highlighting that technology-driven surveillance and rapid response are crucial for ensuring safety during the festival.
Leaders and organizers of various puja celebration committees commended the responsible role played by Ansar-VDP members in ensuring a peaceful and festive environment, praising their alertness and professional conduct in managing crowds and maintaining discipline.
Director of Nawabganj Ansar Battalion (21 BN) Md. Sajedur Rahman, BVM; Dhaka District Commandant of Ansar-VDP Md. Rasheduzzaman, BVMS; and Nawabganj Upazila Ansar Officer Md. Badal Miah, among other officials, were present during the inspection.
