Discussion, cultural programme on 2nd day at Rabindranath Tagore's Rabindranath Memorial Museum in Rupsha

On the occasion of the 164th birth anniversary of the world poet Rabindranath Tagore, a discussion meeting and cultural programme were held on the second day of the three-day program at the Rabindranath Tagore's ancestral home in Pithabhog village of Ghatbhog Union at 4:30 pm on Friday.
Speaking as the chief guest at the program, Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam said that Rabindranath Tagore's literature is spread all over the world. He has made a place in the hearts of Bengalis. The seasonal diversity of Bangladesh is reflected in his literary works. His works on all seasons including winter, summer, and monsoon still touch the hearts of Bengalis. He said that the touch of Rabindranath's hand had fulfilled all literature. His works have been translated into various languages of the world. In 1913, he won the Nobel Prize in Literature for the English translation of the poetry book Gitanjali. His creative work is spread across his poems, novels, short stories, plays, essays, paintings and music.
The main discussant on Rabindranath and the nature of Bangladesh was eminent educationist and researcher Prof Md. Abdul Mannan.
