Domestic liquor will be bottled according to policy and law, said Joint Secretary of the Home Ministry's Security Division Md. Khalil Ahmed.
He said this in response to a question from reporters after visiting Keru & Company's Foreign Liquor and CS Pet Bottle located in Darshana, Chuadanga on Saturday afternoon.
Khalil Ahmed said, it will still take a few days to fully bottle it. However, we have some legal complications and will move towards bottling according to the law after overcoming those complications.
He said, there are some conditions that must be met before bottling domestic liquor. In fact, bottling will be done keeping in mind how consumers will get it or how much alcohol they consume and will not cause harm.
The license of Keru's Distillery of 2022 has expired. Regarding the license renewal, he said that Carew & Company has arrears of 69 lakh taka to the Narcotics Control Department and the Ministry of Home Affairs. The license will be renewed if this money is paid.
Earlier, he visited various offices of Carew & Company. Later, he measured the percentage of alcohol in CS and RS in the distillery department.
Company's Managing Director Rabbik Hasan, GM of the distillery department Rajibul Hasan, Chuadanga Narcotics Control Department (AD) Shirin Akhter, Darshana Distillery Narcotics Control Department (DO) Sanowar Hossain, and others were present.
