Three drug dealers arrested in separate DB operations in Ashulia, Savar

In special drives conducted by Dhaka District Detective Branch (DB) North, three drug dealers were arrested from Ashulia and Savar Model police station areas. During the raids, yaba tablets and cannabis were seized.
The special operations were carried out under the directive of Dhaka District Superintendent of Police Md. Anisuzzaman (PPM). The raids were led by DB (North) Officer-in-Charge Md. Jalal Uddin.
On September 17 (Wednesday) at 5:25 PM, SI (unarmed) Mohammad Abdul Muttalib and his team conducted a raid in the Diamond Mor area on Burir Bazar Road, Baipail, under Ashulia Police Station. Two drug dealers were caught red-handed in front of Motaleb’s house with 75 pieces of yaba tablets.
The arrested individuals are:
Md. Shimul Khan (26), son of Milan Khan from Pirojpur district. Md. Saddam Hossain (35), son of Kashem Ali Mollah from Maheshpur, Jhenaidah district. Currently, both reside in Baipail, Ashulia.
On the same day at 8:35 PM, SI (unarmed) Ariful Islam and his team carried out another raid in front of Zia Automobiles at Noyabari Radio Colony, Aricha Road, under Savar Model Police Station. One drug dealer was arrested with 500 grams of cannabis.
The detainee has been identified as Zahid Hasan Russell alias Hridoy (23), son of Abdul Hai from Monirampur, Jashore. He had been living as a tenant at the house of Jinnat Ali in Noyabari Radio Colony.
Police said that regular narcotics cases are being filed against the three arrestees at Ashulia Police Station.
