Dr. Shahana Zafor, Director of the Fund Department of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society has allegedly become the owner of a huge amount of illegal wealth by establishing a monopoly during the Awami regime.

She has also turned the hospital premises into a 'cow market' for money. She has also paid rent to the Shaheed Moyez Uddin Red Crescent Hospital premises by taking money per cow. How is this fascist's friend still alive despite doing so much? Where is the strength of her scepter? Who is supporting her? This is the question of the Red Crescent community.

 Further investigation shows that Dr. Shahana Zafor joined the post of Medical Officer in April 1996 and never looked back, but she did not care about any of the complaints she faced right from the start. In January 1997, just 8 months after joining, the then director of the blood center filed a written complaint against her to the acting Secretary General on various charges including coming to the office late, leaving early, not being enthusiastic about work, lack of coordination, inattentiveness and lack of responsibility at work, breach of discipline, and indecent behavior. The society later gave her a strict warning for that incident. In January 1997, he was reprimanded for misconduct along with multiple promotions. 

In May 2006, he was reprimanded again for shortsightedness. In June 2007, he was reprimanded for embezzlement and other charges. In February 2008, the victim filed a written complaint with the chairman for not giving blood to a relative of a society employee despite having blood. In July 2011, he was dismissed for not properly performing the duties assigned to him. When an investigation was conducted in light of the dismissal, the investigation report also went against him. Although all the investigation reports on his dismissal went against him, in August 2011, he rejoined the job by exerting political influence. In the same year of his dismissal, i.e. in 2011, with a gap of just 3 months, in August 2011, he was promoted from medical officer to deputy director by using the power of the unseen, that is, his political power as an ally of the former fascist government. This Dr., an ally of the former fascist government: Shahana Zafor.

 In 2017, a written complaint was filed against Dr. Shahana Zafor for illegal recruitment with money. In April and May 2018, a written complaint was filed with the Secretary General again with the title of "Saving the 'Amena Khatun Red Crescent Mother and Child Welfare Center' from the black clutches of Dr. Shahana Zafor " and two separate written complaints were submitted to the chairman by the members of the management committee and donors regarding the placement of a woman named Sharmin Akhtar in the 'Amena Khatun Red Crescent Mother and Child Welfare Center' in exchange for bribes. A letter was sent from the society seeking a response. In addition, at that time, there were allegations against her of selling the land of the Matri Sadan Hospital and dividing 1.5 crore taka. After this, in September 2017, when Dr. Shahana Zafor was in-charge of the society's 'Shaheed Moyez Uddin Red Crescent Hospital', an investigation committee was formed based on the allegations of keeping sacrificial cows in the hospital premises in exchange for money without the permission of the authorities and embezzlement of money. When the responsible officer went to the hospital directly and investigated, he found the truth of keeping cows in exchange for money and embezzling money, from there he escaped with the power of the unseen.

 The incident did not end here: Despite countless allegations against Dr. Shahana Zafor, she was promoted from Deputy Director to Director again in December 2019. Just a few months after receiving the promotion, in January 2021, she was again charged with refusing to sign as a member of the recruitment committee, providing false and untrue information to higher authorities, and behaving disrespectfully with departmental staff. According to the charge sheet, Dr. Shahana Zafor 's response was not satisfactory and she was warned in February 2021.

 Last, Dr. Shahana Zafor was transferred to the 'Jemison Red Crescent Matri Sadan Hospital, Chittagong' in an order signed by the Secretary General on April 15 (2025), but she did not join there and took some time from the Society on the pretext that it would take time to explain the responsibilities. However, the surprising thing is that during that time, she suspended her transfer order through the charisma of the invisible power through the order of the Secretary General. This is like a scene from a Bengali movie, but the events are not the story of a story novel, they are all real. When will such a story end in the Red Crescent Society? That question remains.

 It is learnt that Dr. Shahana Zafor is still carrying out all kinds of misdeeds in the Red Crescent Society with great secrecy - several officials of the Society's head office and various units, who do not want to be named, alleged that. They said that the misdeeds of an official like Dr. Shahana have already tarnished the reputation of a large humanitarian organization like the Red Crescent Society, and are still doing so. Dr. Although allegations of corruption, irregularities and immorality have been leveled against Shahana Zafor, she has always managed to get away with it by managing the higher authorities in a special way. They expressed surprise by asking why no action is being taken despite the numerous allegations against her.

 When asked about the allegations, Dr. Shahana Zafor said that whatever is happening is on the orders of the authorities. I do not do anything outside the authority. I follow exactly what my seniors tell me. I want to know about the transfer.

When asked about Dr. Shahana, Secretary General of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Dr. Kabir M Ashraf Alam NDC, was asked about Dr. Shahana, he told Country Today that if there is a valid complaint against someone, then an investigation will be conducted and action will be taken if the complaint is proven. Regarding various complaints from the beginning of Dr. Shahana Zafar's service, he said that a crime does not end when it becomes old, and previous complaints against her will also be investigated. Regarding the transfer, he said that he has taken time by applying to the society.

It is mentioned that the Secretary General told reporters on May 13 that he had taken time for Dr. Shahana's transfer, but on April 30, Dr. Shahana Zafor's transfer order was suspended in an order signed by him, which he did not publish or mention, which created even more mystery.
