Five remittance fighters honoured in Nilphamari

On the occasion of 'Remittance Fighters Day' in commemoration of the July-August mass uprising, honors have been given to the maximum five remittance senders.on Saturday afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nairuzzaman handed over the honour crest in the Meeting Room of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Jyoti Bikash Chandra, Principal of Nilphamari Government Technical Training Center Masud Rana and General Secretary of Nilphamari Press Club Nur Alam were present at the time.
Earlier, a discussion meeting was held on the theme 'Rights of Expatriates, Our Commitment, Discrimination- Free Bangladesh for All of Us'.
Mitu Akhter, wife of Malaysian expatriate Nazmul Huda, and BRAC District Coordinator Akhter Hossain spoke, among others.
The district administration, district employment and manpower office and technical training center Nilphamari jointly organized the event.
Masud Rana, principal of Nilphamari Government Technical Training Center, said that the awardees include Mohammad K. Sarkar, Nazima Begum, Meher Banu, Nazmul Huda and Joynal Abedin.
