Human love and human service is in Islam

Human love and human service is in Islam

Dr. Muhammad Mahtab Hossain Mazed

Allah does not look at people's wealth, knowledge, power, lineage, beauty, He sees a human-loving servant doing public service and the welfare of humanity according to his ability. Therefore, it is essential for every human being to have a sense of mutual humanity and a liberal moral mindset.

Humans are social creatures, living in this world depending on each other. People can't live a day without each other's cooperation. So mutual help and cooperation is very important in social lifeIslamic Teachings on Humanity and Human Welfare In the Qur'an, the main book of Islam, Muslims believe that it has been revealed to mankind.

These teachings are observed in the life and actions of Muhammad (peace be upon him). To Muslims, Islam is what is prescribed in the Qur'an and how Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, lived his life. Therefore, to understand anything related to the religion of Islam, one must rely on these two (the Qur'an and the deeds of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

> Social welfare in Islam

In the Islamic tradition, the concept of social welfare is presented as its core value and the practice of social service is encouraged and directed in various ways. A Muslim's religious life remains incomplete unless he participates in human welfareThe following Quranic verse is often referred to regarding the Islamic concept of social welfare. And the good deed is not only to face the east or the west, but the greatest good deed is to believe in Allah, the Last Day, the angels and all the prophets and messengers, and spend one's wealth for the sake of His relatives, orphans and the poor. , for wayfarers-beggars and freed slaves. And those who establish prayer, give zakat, and fulfill their vows, and persevere in times of want, sickness, mourning, and war, those are the righteous, and those are the pious. 2:177)

Similarly, Islam specifically defines responsibility towards parents, neighbours, relatives, the sick, the elderly and those of minority ethnicityA long hadith recorded in Hadith Qudsi (Holy Hadith) states that Allah, on the Day of Hashar, will be displeased with those people who did not serve the sick and those who did not feed the hungry. This hadith reminds the human society of its obligation to respond to the need of others.

Individuals, families, states, and non-governmental organizations all have social responsibilities and duties to promote social welfare. It is stated in the Holy Qur'an: Meaning, you are the best of those nations that have manifested themselves among mankind; enjoining good deeds and forbidding evil deeds, and believing in Allah, and if the People of the Book had believed, it would have been good for them. Among them are a few Muslims and most are Kafirs. (3:110) However, this should be observed in the best possible manner: no one's honor should be hurt, and no one should be harmed by any reasonAnd in the Islamic tradition, the family has an important role in making a good citizen for the society by imparting proper education and moral values to the family members. The responsibility of the state is to protect the human rights of the citizens, in addition to this, various private organizations of the civil society are also continuing government services and charity work.

> Human love is part of faith

I want to do it as a duty of Islam, not human service for the purpose of liberation. Prayers, fasting, Hajj, Zakat etc. are obligatory in Sharia, human service is also obligatory. Human service must be done to fulfill this duty. Whoever has wealth, he will serve people with wealth. He who has intelligence will serve people with intelligence. He who has power will serve people with power. He will serve people as much as he can. The issue of human love and human service is not so trivial, but very important. Even in Islam, human love is said to be part of faith. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "None of you can be a complete believer until he loves for another Muslim what he loves for himself." (Bokhari: 13). It was understood by this description, what we love for ourselves, we should love for another Muslim brother as well. If we do not want the same for others as we want for ourselves, then our faith will not be complete. Even human love is a sign of paradise. In the discussion of the people of Paradise, Allah says, 'They feed the needy, orphans and prisoners in the love of Allah. They say, We feed you only for the pleasure of Allah and do not seek any reward or gratitude from you.' (Surah Dahar: 8-9).

> Allah has mercy on the merciful

People wish for themselves, may they prosper, may they have wealth, may they have peace, may their sons and daughters be established, may their sons and daughters marry in a good house. Everyone wants, I should get a good job, I should get a good post, I should get respect etc. We each love them for ourselves. Therefore, they should be loved for others as well. I don't want danger for myself. So I can't ask for danger for others. I cannot seek danger for others if I seek safety for myself. I want security for myself. So you have to seek security for others. So you have to seek security for others too. As I strive for my own good and welfare, so should I strive for others. My wish is not to starve. Therefore, the same should be sought for others. In a word, everyone should see themselves. Everyone should ask for their own. Everyone has to think for themselves. From the point of view of Islam, it is a very big thing. It has even been called a part of Islam. If not, we are not believers. Rasool (pbuh) said, 'Allah the Merciful has mercy on the merciful. Be merciful to the inhabitants of the land, then Allah Almighty will be merciful to you.' (Tirmidhi: 1924). Rasul (pbuh)He also said, 'Whoever takes care of an orphan, he will be with me in Paradise.' Saying this, he showed his middle and index fingers side by side. (Tirmidhi: 1918).

> Extension of cooperation towards creation

No other religion has spoken so strongly about human service. Therefore, Islam has spoken more about human love and human service. We can't do it perfectly or we don't do it, that's a different matter. But it is said in Islam.

If it is not in practice, it is not Islam's fault, but our fault. As human love and human service are important, so are many virtues. One of the virtues of human service is that one can get salvation from Allah through human service. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "None of you will enter Paradise by his deeds alone." (Musnad Ahmad: 7479). Salvation can be obtained only with the mercy of Allah along with good deeds. The easiest way to get Allah's mercy is to extend a hand of cooperation and benefit to His creation. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The person who is most beloved to Allah is the one who benefits people the most. The most beloved good deed to him is to bring joy to the heart of a Muslim, to remove his distress, to pay off his debt, to remove his hunger.

> Whose service is the service of Allah

Rasul (pbuh)He said, On the Day of Judgment, Almighty Allah will say, 'O son of Adam, I fell ill; But you did not visit me!' He will say, 'O Rabb, you are Rabbul Alamin. How can I go to see you?' He will say, 'You knew that my servant so-and-so was ill. But you didn't go to see him. Don't you know that if you go to see him, you will find me near him.' Then say, 'O son of Adam, I asked you for food. But you did not give me food.

He will say, 'O Lord, You are Rabbul Alamin. How shall I feed you?He will say, 'You knew that my servant so-and-so asked you for food. But you didn't feed him. Don't you know that if you give him food, you will get me to him!' Then Allah will say, 'O son of Adam, I wanted to drink water from you. But you didn't give me waterHe will say, 'O Lord, You are Rabbul Alamin. How can I give you water to drink?' He will say, 'You knew that my servant so-and-so wanted to drink water from you. But you didn't give him water. Don't you know, if you let him drink water, you will get me to him!' (Muslim: 2569).

> Human service is a special quality of Nabiji

When the first five verses of Surah Al-Alak were revealed, the Prophet (PBUH) became afraid. This was the first revelation to him. Umm al-Mu'minin returned to Khadijah (R.A.) and said, 'I am worried about myself.' Khadijah (R.A.) said, 'By Allah, never. Allah will never humiliate you. You treat your relatives well, bear the responsibility of the helpless and the weak, help the destitute, show hospitality to the guest and help the distressed.' (Bokhari: 3).

> Immense reward for human service

Rasul (pbuh)He said, 'Human welfare work protects from danger and death. Secret charity turns away the wrath of Allah. Life expectancy is increased by protecting the relationship of blood relatives.' (Majmawz Ghawayd: 3/115). Rasul (pbuh) also said, 'Settling disputes between two people and establishing justice and harmony is charity.

Helping a person to drive his vehicle is considered charity. Handing over someone's belongings to someone's vehicle is considered donation. Beautiful pleasant words are considered gifts. Every step to go to the mosque is considered donation. Removing troublesome things from the road is considered charity.' (Bokhari: 2989). Even service to any living being has its reward. Rasul (pbuh) said, "You will be rewarded in the service of any soul." (Bokhari: 2363).

Finally, I would like to say that serving people, loving people is a deed that can be loved by Allah. Because all creation is the family of Allah. So the most beloved of creations to Allah is the one who shows favor to the family of Allah. Those who love the creation, serve the creation, they are the most beloved servants of Allah. And those who are beloved of Allah, they do not need to get any speed to get salvation.

When prayer, fasting, Hajj, Zakat, etc. are difficult to complete with a thorough account of worship, then various acts will be a means of salvation. Among them, this creation service is also a special act; By which one can become beloved of Allah; Which will be the means of human liberation. To be loved by God, you must love people. To get God's love, you have to give love to people. In order to gain the love of God, we want to offer love to people and creation. From this it is evident that standing by the side of all Muslims and non-Muslims in danger is one of the sacred teachings of Islam and the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Therefore, as servants of God, we can love all people with our hearts, show respect and respect! Let's extend the hand of sympathy in danger, calamity and disaster and do not kill any innocent people! No caste, clan, clan; May I be able to come forward in help-cooperation, public service and compassion with heart-wrenching love to the person named Man! In this way, in the spirit of peaceful coexistence, it is highly recommended to show genuine love, affection and sympathy towards people of different faiths in the protection of camaraderie, social harmony and human values.
