Husband commits suicide after leaving wife on video call in Savar

Police have recovered the hanging body of a man named Khalilur Rahman (45) from the Bank Colony area of Savar Municipality. The body of the deceased was recovered by breaking the door of the flat early on Tuesday morning.
The deceased Khalilur was working as the director (marketing) of a private hospital in the capital's Dhanmondi area, his relatives said. He is the son of Dr. Jalil of Charsungar area of Royal Union of Dhamrai Upazila of Dhaka.
Police and relatives of the deceased said that due to a family dispute, his wife Khushbu Rahman went to her father's house on Monday. Later, late at night, Khalilur Rahman made a video call to his wife. Leaving his wife on the video call, he committed suicide by hanging himself by tying a rope around his neck from the ceiling fan. His wife informed everyone about the matter. Later, upon receiving the information, the police broke down the door of the flat and recovered the body of the deceased hanging from the fan.
Savar Model Police Station OC Mohammad Jewel Miah said, the police broke the door and recovered the body of the deceased hanging from the fan. A case has been registered at the police station in this incident
