ICT Minister directs faster project implementation, zero waste in budget execution

Posts, Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Science and Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam on Wednesday directed project directors to accelerate the pace of development initiatives, stressing that funds must be utilized efficiently without waste or under-execution.
Addressing the Annual Development Programme (ADP) review meeting for July 2026 at the ICT Division conference room in Agargaon, the minister urged officials to act with heightened responsibility to drive government priorities forward.
The meeting featured detailed presentations by project directors on the physical and financial progress of ongoing development schemes under the ICT Division. Minister Anam reviewed the milestones, calling for proactive measures to eliminate delays and enhance accountability across all active projects.
Chaired by Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, Secretary of the ICT Division, the review session brought together senior officials from the ICT Division, agency heads, project directors, and online representatives from the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED).
